Born in the city of Santa Fe, Argentina, on April 20th, 1950, he currently lives in Buenos Aires. After graduating from college in Santa Fe, he began working as a journalist in his home town. Eventually he moved to Buenos Aires and later on to Miami to pursue his career. A self-taught plastic artist, Mario discovered his passion for painting as a young boy. Mentored by his uncles Matías Molinas and Ernesto Fertonani, two famous Argentinian painters, he started learning the basics of drawing, the color palette, and forms. Practice and experience began defining his artistic style. In time, he also ventured into sculpture, experimenting with different materials. Between 2010 and 2012, he sought to perfect his pictorial technique by attending workshops by artist Juan Rosseto. Permanently retired from journalism, dedicates full times to painting.
