Irina Petrova Born December 20, 1992 | Rostov-on-Don, Russia Irina Petrova is a contemporary artist and traveler whose creative journey began in childhood. Her early passion for art led her to study in an artist's workshop during her teenage years, where she mastered oil painting. She later formalized her education, graduating with a degree in Fine Arts from the Academy of Architecture and Arts. "I have always been a very sensitive person, and my work is a symbiosis of personal reflection on the world around us and the study of human psychological states." Irina's artistic practice explores the profound connections between human emotions, psychology, and the physical world. A self-proclaimed artist-traveler, she constantly immerses herself in diverse landscapes, cultures, and experiences, weaving the wisdom of her global explorations into her art. Her works examine how external events shape individual psychological states, posing questions about self-awareness, balance, and the pursuit of harmony with the world. Working across various media—oil and acrylic painting, collage, aerosol, gold leaf, and mirror fragments—Irina brings an improvisational spirit to her creative process. Her art balances recognizable, traditional forms with abstraction, giving life to "new incredible realities" where figurative and non-figurative elements coexist. Irina Petrova's work serves as both a reflection and an invitation—encouraging viewers to explore their inner worlds and the intricate ways they interact with the external environment.
